The eleventh edition of the State of the Global Islamic Economy Report—first launched in 2013—profiles six real economy sectors: halal food and beverages; halal cosmetics; halal pharmaceuticals; Muslim-friendly travel; modest fashion; and Islamic-themed media and recreation; plus the Islamic finance sector which drives these six. The 2024/25 report estimates that US $2.43 trillion was spent in 2023 across these six real economy sectors, reflecting faith-aligned ethical consumption that now shapes demand worldwide.
