Mohammed bin Rashid launches ‘100 Million Meals’ to provide food support in 20 countries


  • Beneficiary countries include Sudan, Lebanon, Jordan, Pakistan, Angola, Uganda and Egypt.
  • MBRGI teams up with MBRCH, UN World Food Programme and food banks across the region to deliver food parcels to people in need during Ramadan.
  • Businessmen, companies and the public are invited to donate to the Ramadan campaign via four main channels: website, bank transfer, SMS, and call center.
  • Campaign is an expansion of 2020 ’10 Million Meals’ campaign that empowered local communities impacted by COVID-19 pandemic.
  • 820 million people are undernourished globally, including 52 million in MENA region
  • Hunger claims a child’s life every 10 seconds and malnutrition contributes to about 45% of deaths in children under-5 years of age.

Dubai, 11 April 2021— His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai, launched ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign to provide food parcels for families and people in need across 20 countries during the holy month of Ramadan.
